Serbia is often overlooked by travelers, but the TET Serbia route aims to change that by showcasing the country's natural beauty and diverse landscapes. The route is carefully designed to include a mix of sandy tracks, gravel roads, and rugged mountain trails.

You’ll begin by entering Serbia from Romania through the Deliblatska Pescara nature reserve, a vast sandy area with hundreds of kilometers of tracks. After navigating the sand, the route heads into central Serbia, where the hills introduce tricky rocky climbs, ridge rides with stunning views, and pine forests.

As you head south, you’ll ride through the Tara Mountains National Park, Zlatibor, Jadovnik, Pester, and other scenic areas, filled with evergreen forests and open high plains. These areas offer pristine gravel roads, fresh mountain air, and stunning panoramas. After nearing the Montenegro border, the route turns northeast, passing through Kopaonik National Park, Goc, and Juhor mountains, leading to the remote Kucaj mountains—one of Serbia’s last true wilderness areas. Here, you'll enjoy long off-road sections with no signs of civilization except for great gravel and rocky roads.

Author Tips & Tricks

- Sand Riding: Deliblatska Pescara provides an exciting challenge with its sandy tracks—be ready for spills and thrills!
- Mountain Roads: Central and southern Serbia offer rugged, rocky climbs and stunning ridge rides through national parks. Be prepared for changing terrain and some technical sections.
- Fresh Air: The southern mountainous regions, particularly around Tara and Zlatibor, are perfect for breathing in fresh air and enjoying scenic landscapes.
- Remote Wilderness: The Kucaj mountains in eastern Serbia provide a true off-the-grid experience. With no villages or signs of civilization, it’s a peaceful end to the off-road adventure.
- Local Interactions: The locals in remote areas may not speak your language, but they’re known for their hospitality. They often offer food, coffee, or even accommodation—sometimes in a meadow or shepherd’s hut—all for free. These encounters can easily become a highlight of your trip.
